A Goondiwindi mum is in the running for a national award.
Carla Dillon of Little Button Essentials has been named as a finalist for the 2020 AusMumpreneur Awards in the 'Product Innovation' category.
The awards celebrate and recognise Australian mums in business achieving outstanding success. The awards are designed to recognise the growing number of women who successfully balance motherhood and business in a way that suits their life and family.
Carla invented her company's proprietary 'Madannah Cream Range' for those with allergy-prone, sensitive skin.
As a Midwife and mother of two she struggled to find suitable products for use on her daughters' skin, which led to the release of the first cream in 2017. The Madannah range now has six unique products all which are 100 per cent natural, handmade and uniquely designed to be free from the allergens of gluten, dairy, soy, eggs, yeast, nuts, artificial preservatives, colours or fragrances.
Nearly four years since launching, Carla is inspired to keep challenging herself because of the wonderful feedback she has received from customers and wholesalers who describe how Madannah is an essential in their households and stores.
Carla is delighted to be named as a finalist and is proud of her achievements, particularly given the challenges presented to businesses in 2020. Carla has maintained her can-do attitude and adaptability in the business arena. She is also proud of the authenticity she displays when delivering quality customer service.
There are many benefits to balancing business and motherhood as Carla explains, launching herself into the MumPreneur arena has given her opportunities to push her limits, make meaningful and lasting friendships and discover things about herself she would otherwise not have known.
The winners of the 2020 AusMumpreneur Awards will be announced in September.
