From prep, students are taught to not only learn, but to question aspects of, and delve deeper into, what they are being taught.

This is strengthened by the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program 'Units of Inquiry', which educates students in analysing and understanding all views of each topic.

Middle and secondary school students are given opportunities to direct their learning and recreation towards their own areas of interest, which has been found to produce better interaction and participation.

As they reach their senior years of schooling, Hills College students continue to show their teachers, families and the wider Jimboomba Community that they are developing into community-focused, caring and compassionate members of society who are striving to teach leadership to their younger peers, while reaching for their own academic goals.

Hills College also offers on-site boarding facilities for local, interstate and international students.

All students who live in the college dormitories are fully catered for.

As a small school of around 500 students, Hills is able to offer students personalised education in an environment where students of all ages interact and learn from each other.
