Hard-hitting defence saves game for the Boars

The Goondiwindi Boars have made their way through to the quarter finals of the Border rugby league knockout.

In a see-sawing and tough encounter against the Bruce Binge Memorial team the Boars sealed the match in the final seconds.

But after scoring first the Bruce Binge Memorial hit back late in the first half..

From there it was a real arm wrestle.

The Boars were let down by some unforced handling errors and a lack of discipline close to the line.

They made up for that with some crunching defence, in particular Tom Fitzgerald who had the crowd cheering after two teeth-rattling tackles in the final five minutes.

It may have been the difference between losing and winning.

The Boars next game is at 3.41. Get down and cheer them on.
