The Goondiwindi Water Park is temporarily closed due to low water levels.
Goondiwindi Regional Council Mayor, Cr Graeme Scheu, said Council was concerned about motorised vessels using the Water Park for skiing while levels were so low.
“Although the regional area has recently enjoyed some much needed rain, it has not fallen in our catchment area to trigger a high flow event in the Macintyre River.
In the event of a high flow, Council will be able to pump water into the Water Park to replenish the water levels.
The grounds of the Water Park will remain open.
Residents and visitors are encouraged to enjoy the other activities that the Goondiwindi Natural Heritage & Water Park has to offer including a beached swimming area, canoeing, playgrounds, barbecus facilities, bird and wildlife watching.
