It’s on again.
A morning of fun and entertainment and where you go home feeling better about yourself, life and everything.
It’s the Goondiwindi and District Garden Home-Grown Festival and it’s on Sunday from 8a.m. until midday.
The family fun day is all about healthy home-grown and home-made produce of descriptions. From the freshest of vegetables to proudly hand-crafted furniture.
There’s a dog wash and dogs on a leash are welcome to join in the festivities.
There’s fresh food, coffee, market stalls, music, facepainting, demonstrations and much, much more.
The Community Garden is run by volunteers and individuals who are passionate and dedicated to the upkeep and running costs of the garden.
Some garden beds are privately owned.
What does that mean? Individuals and local organisations have chosen to pay an annual fee allowing them to use a garden bed for their own personal use. They plant, maintain, water and then have the pleasure of harvesting their own produce for themselves. Sometimes they have an abundance of produce and offer it to the broader community for sale through the Community Garden.
The remainder of the beds are maintained by an enthusiastic group of workers and volunteers. When the produce grown in these areas is ready for sale, the committee let the community know through Facebook posts and Instagram updates. If you do not have access to either of these platforms, they can email you.
If you require more information please send an email to email@example.com
