Shoppers now need to bring their own grocery bags, so why not buy one or 10 and help a wonderful cause?
The Tharawonga mobile child service is raising money by selling reusable grocery bags to provide more resources for its children.
The Goondiwindi Co-op has been quick to jump on-board.
Tharawonga is a mobile early childhood service which travels to Yetman, North Star, Yallaroi, Tulloona, Crooble and Gravesend.
It’s been a Godsend for parents.
The bags are printed with the communities they visit.
“The bags are proving to be a great gift idea for locals and those who have a connection to these rural areas,” Tori Woods from the Tharawonga Mobile Resource Unit said.
“The Goondiwindi Co-op has kindly come on-board and is selling our fundraiser bags in the store. Paul Pettit, General Manager of Goondiwindi Co-Operative Society Ltd said they are more than happy to help local fundraising efforts.”
The bags are for sale for $3.50 each or 10 for $30.
“At Tharawonga we welcome all families to attend any or all of the venues,” Suzanne Webber from the Gwydir Shire Council said.
“We have activities for children from birth to 6 years and it provides a great opportunity for the children to get together.
“We offer a flexible Preschool program giving your children the opportunity to accomplish developmental milestones and have fun with other children.
