Australia Post is releasing a commemorative issue of four stamps to recognise the towns and artists creating iconic silo art across regional Australia. 

“The Thallon Silos Stamp Launch is a great way of showcasing some extraordinary artworks that have appeared in wheat-growing country towns across the nation. The painted silos have brought new life to small towns that have suffered a variety of hardships.

“These unlikely cavasses are breathtaking tributes to the local people and history of the community,” Maranoa MP, David Littleproud said.

Thallon is holding a launch from 11am on Sunday, May 20.It will be held at the Thallon Recreation Grounds.
