WDJRL Chairman, Dave Landers, said he hoped Ethan will show other young players in Goondiwindi and the region what can be achieved with a lot of hard work and dedication.

“Ethan is a fine example for our junior players and continues a wonderful tradition of junior players who have made it to the elite level in our game.” Others include Mick Hancock, Billy Moore, Shane Webcke and Stephanie Hancock.

Ethan said he was excited to support grassroots rugby league in his hometown and give back to the community and region that helped mould him into the player he is today.

“I grew up and played my junior rugby league years in Goondiwindi, so to be given the opportunity to be an ambassador for the sport in my hometown and region is something I’m really looking forward to,” Ethan said
