Obstetrician, gynaecologist Dr David Chettle opens new practice

A new obstetrician and gynaecologist has settled in the Darling Downs region.

Dr David Chettle has opened his practice Evolve Women’s Health in the Medical Centre at St. Vincent’s Private Hospital, Toowoomba.

A specialist obstetrician and gynaecologist, Dr Chettle began seeing patients in the first week of March.

“St Vincent’s have recently updated their facilities, so I’m excited to have the opportunity to operate in some of the new technologically advanced theatres” he said.

“My goal in opening Evolve Women’s Health is to provide exceptional care to the women of Toowoomba and the greater Darling Downs region.”

Dr Chettle recently moved to Toowoomba from Brisbane with his wife and three children. He said the reason for the move was to provide a better lifestyle for his family with an improved work-life balance.

“My wife and I have personally experienced the roller coaster of having a baby and we understand how difficult it can be. Our hope in opening our practice is to offer excellent care in a warm and welcoming environment,” he said.

“Our practice is a bit different from the usual. In our waiting room we have a separate play area for the kids, with dedicated kids TV; tea, coffee and cold water for our patients, as well as snacks and poppers for the kids.

“Our hope is that our patients and mums-to-be feel considered and comfortable and are able to relax a little whilst visiting us.”

Dr Chettle said he and his family had found the locals to be extremely helpful and welcoming.

“I’m looking forward to becoming part of the Toowoomba and Darling Downs medical community,” he said.
