Teachers will be pushed to their limits at the Gundy State Fantastic Fete this Saturday.

A new event in the annual Goondiwindi State Primary fundraiser, the school’s fittest staff will take on a series of unique events in the teacher triathlon.

Deputy principal Lew Verney said he didn’t want to give the game away, but added “They certainly won’t be riding bikes - they’ll be riding something else that’s got wheels!”.

A rock climbing wall and a large inflatable obstacle course will be a first for the long-running fete.

Singers, dancers and novelty acts are being narrowed down to 6-8 finalists for the popular Gundy’s Got Talent talent show, as they prepare to compete for a cinema voucher.

“A very big range and right across the year levels too,” Mr Verney said.

Face painting, a barbecue and cake stall are also sure to draw a crowd.

The fete is from 11-3pm at the school.
