Police urge witnesses to come forward after car rams Yelarbon business

The Goondiwindi Police are on the hunt for thieves and witnesses.

Police are investigating an incident where a car was used to “ram” a business at Yelarbon, 50km east of Goondiwindi,  in the late hours of Monday, January 8.

The car was used to ram the front doors of the Taloom Street-premises.

A quantity of cigarettes were stolen.

Investigations identified a small white hatch-like vehicle that was present in the area prior to the raid.

The vehicle was parked on the side of the Cunningham Highway in Yelarbon between 9.40pm and 10.15pm.

A second vehicle, which Police believe was stolen, was driven towards the other car before both cars were driven away heading east.

Police want to anyone who may have gone through Yelarbon at the time and witnessed the parked vehicle.

Police are aware that a number of trucks travelling in both directions passed the parked vehicle.
