Champion golfer, Joel Stahlhut.

Champion golfer, Joel Stahlhut.

Young Goondiwindi golfer Joel Stahlhut has just proved he’s one of the most exciting talents, in the world.

An extremely proud Goondiwndi Golf Club coach, Dave Wright shared this with us.

“Joel  has finished in a tie for fifth position at the Aaron Baddeley International Junior Tournament held in San Diego (USA).

“Joel shot even par in the last round that unfortunately included a triple bogey on the 4th hole.

“Joel finished just four shots off the winner and Joel was the best of the Aussie's that played in this very prestigious event!

“Onwards and upwards!”

As we reported earlier this week.

If we didn’t know it already, young golfer Joel Stahlhut is proving that he’s not just one of the most exciting prospects in Australia, but the world.

Joel is in America taking part in the Aaron Baddeley International Junior Championship in San Diego for golfers aged 15-18.

And he’s more than matching it with the best.

And he’s more than matching it with the best. As we went to press – after two rounds –  Joel was in sixth spot and only three shots off the lead in a tight bunch of five all within one shot of each other.

The tournament could be a major stepping stone for Joel.

It is organised by Future Champions Golf

Many FCG events attract college coaches, with larger events bringing out as many as 30 college coaches for on-site recruiting.
