Don’t miss the playgroup in the park this Thursday at Kaloma (17 Gough Street, Goondiwindi). A beautiful morning will be offered, with special events for children and aged care residents. There will be free activities for young and old as well as the bozo bus for the little ones and a lot of Christmas cheer. Moring tea is available with a gold coin donation. Takes place from 9:30am-11:30am.
The Kaloma Resident Christmas Party is taking place on Wednesday, December 13, at 4pm. Invitations have already been sent out but visitors are urged to RSVP by Monday, December 11.
Enjoy Goondiwindi Late Night Shopping on Thursday, December 14. Families can do some Christmas shopping in a festive atmosphere. There are many stalls offering various products as well as food, drinks and last but not least the bozo bus for the little ones as well as us big kiddies! There will be a festive atmosphere as the street will be closed to vehicles – well, all vehicles except Santa and his sleigh. The event is hosted by the Goondiwindi Chamber of Commerce and takes place from 6-9pm. Let’s hope that it stimulates the local economy.

Business After Hours is an initiative of the Goondiwindi Chamber of Commerce to encourage a social networking environment. The team at Allen's Pharmacy are inviting locals to join them for some drinks and nibbles while toasting to a great year ahead! Drinks and Nibbles will be provided, so RSVP is essential to assist with catering. (email@example.com). The event itself is on Thursday, December 7, from 6pm-7.30pm at Allen’s Pharmacy.
Don’t miss the New Year’s Eve border bash at the Goondiwindi Community Centre (Russell Street, Goondiwindi) on December 31. As if one New Year’s countdown isn’t enough, the event celebrates both the NSW and Queensland time zones with two countdowns. The event features awesome local acts, and includes a performance by Ellen Reed and band from 10pm, and there will also be number of DJs. Tickets are at $50 and include a welcome drink. There will be fancy dress competitions for the best-dressed guy and girl as well as couples.
Everyone is invited to participate in the 2017 Council Christmas Lights Competition. Prizes will be awarded for the towns of Goondiwindi and Western Townships (combined townships Talwood, Toobeah and Bungunya). Judging for all prizes will be conducted on the evening of Friday, December 15, 2017. Participants must ensure that their lights are switched on for a chance to win.
