The Bungunya BunRun will be held on Sunday, August 6, at the Bungunya State School.
It is a cross-country style fun run, that winds around the school oval and through a scenic area of the neighbouring town common.
There is a three-hour limit to the race. The idea is that participants complete as many laps as they wish within the time frame.
Participants may register as individuals or as part of a team, in either the junior or senior category.
There are a number of ‘obstacles’ around the track to clamber over, through or around. All are easy, and suitable for all ages and fitness levels.
At the completion, there’s the Farm Run.
The Farm Run is a fun team event open to everyone.
It is a short race where team members complete a number of farm activities such as fix the fence, milk the cow, round up the sheep, and so on.
It is a lot of fun and the children love it.
There will be race prizes, a lucky door prize, coffee, canteen, barbecue and refreshments available.
Registration opens from 730am on the day or pre-registration is available.
Race starts at 9am.
Registration forms are available on the school website for those wishing to pre-register (bungunyass.eq.edu.au)
