Promote your Community Event in the Argus

The Goondiwindi Argus is developing a new community notices page, listing coming events and regular meetings in the Goondiwindi area. We have created an easy online form for the submission of events and meetings.

The form is available on our website. It is really simple to use and can be accessed via any computer or mobile device, including your smart phone.

To find the form, go to the Goondiwindi Argus website and look for the red strip banner that says “results/photos/events: submit here”. Click on the “submit here” button.

When the page opens, click on the green community diary button. A form will open that will prompt you to put in the details of your event.

If you have any questions, you can contact Simon Bourke on 0428 556 246 or Marie Low on 0438 287 074, or email

August 26

A Prudent Man

Goondiwindi Cinema, Saturday, August 26 at 6pm - 9pm. What makes the Trumps, the Abbotts and the Hansons of this world tick? What would happen if their world started to shift ever so slightly? This darkly comedic political thriller explores what it means to be right… in more ways than one. A conservative politician, a leader, a man in a snappy suit, an athlete in a bad tracksuit. Meet A Prudent Man – an amalgamation of the right-wing politician that haunts us all. Written and directed by Green Room nominated playwright Katy Warner and performed by Lyall Brooks, A Prudent Man takes an unapologetic look at a man both in control and on the edge.

Town Common closed

The Town Common will remain closed due to recent rain. Council will reassess the conditions of the Town Common again this week. Thank you for your cooperation.

Just a reminder Fusion Youth Group is not on. Youth Group will recommence on Friday, July 14. See you all then.
