Mustang twins live in the fast lane

Some blokes just know how to live.

And to celebrate.

Like twins John and Ken Todd. John wore stripes and Ken wore checks when we met them, thankfully.

They were also wearing some pretty big smiles.

We were at Rod Gibson Ford and the 66 year-olds were picking up their brand spanking new Ford Mustangs.

The 5lt GT V8, none of that four-cylinder sillyness for these boys who are proud to call themselves “rev heads”.

They love cars, as simple as that.  They’ve owned everything from  a 1970 Mustang 351 to a Five-speed Supra and a 3.07 Chevy.

There were more, but, for this non-rev-head, they all melded into numbers that had wheels and I gathered went fast.

John and Ken are from “Dolgelly Station”, 65km south of Goondiwindi on the Boomi Road.

So keep an eye out for them.

We can promise you won’t miss them.

Here you go boys, happy trails. Rod and Tim Gibson hand over the keys to Ken and John Todd.
