Gawaala Dhuumalaa - Toomelah Talk

Yaama (hello)

Every day Toomelah Public School is committed to developing 21st century learners.

Some of the highlights of last week’s learning include a Teddy Bears Picnic and a trip to the theatre.

The transition students spent a sunny morning in the school gardens caring for their teddy bears.

They had great fun taking their teddies on a train ride, including them in relay races and blowing bubbles for them to catch.  The students also made honey sandwiches to share.

We are so happy to see our Gaayindjuul Gaba (good kids) learning through play. Year 4, 5 and 6 participated in a school excursion to The Empire Theatre in Toowoomba this week to watch the stage show Mr Stink.

Great fun was had by all students with comments of “gee, he really did stink” and “when can we go again?”

The 4, 5, and 6 students also participated in a leadership camp at Lake Keepit recently.

The students participated in many adventures including raft building, a mud run, tree climbing and team building exercises. The “yummy” food was also a highlight!
