A bus load of 39 retirees have expressed their fondness of Goondiwindi and the people.
The Probus Club Nambour 90 Inc spent eight days in Goondiwindi touring around and getting to know the town.
The Club is a group of retired professional business people who organise tour groups every year and this time Goondiwindi was on the list.
“We have had a wonderful time.
“We would like to make a special mention to Ged and Marianne McKenna from Top Tourist park.
“They have been absolutely fantastic,” said one of the organisers Barry McMahon.
The group also praised the wonderful service and help from the Goondiwindi Tourist Information Centre and were overwhelmed by the friendly Goondiwindi residents.
“Everyone has been so lovely and friendly and people have really made our stay wonderful.”
While in Goondiwindi the group of enthusiastic retirees went on a Goondiwindi Cotton tour and made mention of how wonderful Samantha was.
Lori and Robert McKay showed them the horse cutting and Hamish Gale took them to see his goats and some wonderful food.
“We had an absolutely exquisite meal from the New Dynasty Chinese restaurant in the main street,” said Barry.
They were heading back to the Sunshine Coast last Friday and finished their stay in Goondiwindi with a tour through the Victoria Hotel and a luncheon.
