‘Spring time’ is high time for tea

EACH year to herald Spring, on September 1, the North Star P and C hold a “High Tea” fundraiser.

This year the event is at the spectacular garden of “Bendee”, owned by Carolyn and Mike Donaldson.

This wickedly decadent day for the ladies begins at 10a.m. with a complementary glass of champagne, followed by a tastefully served selection of savouries and sweets.

Beverages include aromatic leaf tea and cappuccino coffee.

The following businesses will have displays to tempt the women even more: Robin’s Nest from Moree - children’s clothes and gifts; Kate Woodhead from Goondiwindi -Louenhide bags, Mimi and Me jewellery and outdoor pots and wares; Artist Kate Backus, who will showcase prints and cards including the design featured on this year’s High Tea poster; Bronnies Beads – jewellery; and a fantastic cooking demonstration by Salt of Life from Allora using artisan salts and salt bricks.

The High Tea raffle prizes this year are a Chef Toolbox Cooks Pack valued at $532, while second prize is a GHA Hair Straightener donated by Donna Mills from The Hair Company, Goondiwindi.

Tickets for the High Tea raffle are available through ticket sellers and The Hair Company, Goondiwindi.

The Raffle will be drawn on the day.

Tickets are limited to 60 to allow for adequate catering and no further tickets will be available at the door .

Tickets are available for purchase from Nutmeg, Goondiwindi and Me and Mr Jones in Inverell or by contacting Aleysa Mills (0427272775) or by emailing pandc@northstarnsw.com.
