The Goondiwindi Ski Club last weekend hosted the biggest Water Ski tournamant yet held in Queensland.

Eighty-five competitors travelled from throughout the state to Goondiwindi to compete in six divisions in Round 3 of the Queensland Tournament Skiing Series.

Spokesman for the club, Brendan Griffiths said it was an excellent weekend.

“Conditions couldn’t have been better and there were 20 personal bests (PBs) recorded.

“Everything went smoothly, we couldn’t be happier,” Brendan said.

Fourteen locals competed on the weekend with Michael Jamison, Greg Klein and Jonathon Druce making the finals in their divisions
