In fact many records were broken on Sunday when at 5a.m the swimmers began their two kilometre journey up the muddy waters of the Macintyre River.
The first record fell when Joseph Lambe, Luke McKenzie and Simon Nash all waded out of the water under the previous best time of 26 minutes and 47 seconds (26.46)
The second record was broken when overall winner Luke McKenzie flew in on his bicycle and took out the honours in the swim/cycle leg.
Female winner, Kym Jaenke took 4.15.28 to complete the course, breaking the record for the swim and run.
