Angus McColl is reaping the rewards of many years of early mornings and hard training. He competed recently in the Australian Rowing Youth Cup and came home with two gold and one sliver medal.
The Under 21 competition was held at the Sydney International Rowing Centre and included teams from all states, the ACT and New Zealand.
Each team was made up of six heavy weight rowers, two lightweight rowers and a cox.
Each rower competed in three configurations, the double scull, quad scull and the eight.
The Queensland team won the championship (Rusty Robinson trophy) for the first time in 15 years.
