The Secretary Team, which included a fairly rough mob, who were far from handsome, managed to scramble home narrowly defeating a fine and upright team headed by the Captain.

The best score of the day was the old battler Rob Doughty with 105.16 off rifle, closely followed by Roger North with 104.12.

Members gathered at the 700 metre mound on Sunday to compete for a club trophy, with conditions making good scores hard to come by. Not one possible was attained.

The winner for the day was Gary Haeusler with 102 off rifle, narrowly defeating James Choice and Captain Mick.

International targets were used at the local rifle range for the first time on Sunday. There were no possibles recorded on these targets, but Rob Doughty shot a very fine 103 off rifle to win the Capel Cup from Roger North, one point back.

Next Sunday, members will compete for the Tait Toyota trophy at the 300 metre range.
