The 23 year-old has been riding bulls since he was 16b is currently ranked 15th in the Australian PBR standings and will have a chance at the Australian title if he can win big at Tamworth in the 2009 Bundaberg Rum PBR National Finals on Friday November 27 and Saturday 28.
The cowboy who has won the most money during the season wins the championship.
“There’s $50 000 up for grabs, and I think the top ranked bloke is on about $19000 at the moment, so if you keep riding and keep winning over those two nights, anything can happen,” Jim said.
“On Friday everyone gets on, and then there’s a championship round on Saturday.”
There are 34 Australians and five internationals standing in his way. The world’s richest cowboys from America’s Built Ford Tough Series are coming toTamworth to battle it out against Australia’s finest from the Bundaberg Rum PBR Touring Pro Series to determine the 2009 PBR Australian Champion.

Jim finished fifth last week at Chinchilla and took home $3500.
“I’m still riding pretty good,” he said.
