BOGGABILLA bull rider, Jim Rowsell is hoping that a little local knowledge will go a long way, when he take aon Australian champion David Kennedy in the Professional Bull Riders (PBR) Challenger Series Toowoomba on Saturday night.
To be held at the Toowoomba Show Grounds Indoor Arena, the fourth stop on the Professional Bull Riders Challengers Series tour will pit 40 of the Australia’s top young cowboys against the nation’s nastiest bovines for a piece of $5000 cash and the honour of being named the inaugural PBR Toowoomba champion.
Tim Chelsom (Gatton), Andrew Achilles (Fernvale), Dan Kelly (Rosewood), Grant Eagle (Allora) and Boggabilla’s Jim Rowsell all know the bulls and the conditions of southern Queensland like their own front paddock, but in the world of top-flight bull riding anything can happen on the night.
Local boy Jim Rowsell is a 23 year-old Professional Bull Rider in his second year on the PBR tour.
Last year he represented Australia against the rest of the World at the Troy Dunn International in Townsville.
The Goondiwindi boy came second at the most recent PBR event in Marabel, South Australia and is currently placed fourth in the PBR Australia standings. This is the real deal - the one and only PBR. Gates open from 5pm.
