All the weekend's cricket results

04 Feb, 2010 11:00 AM
THE Colts cricket team went down yet again on Sunday but not before putting a scare through Yagaburne.

At one stage the youngsters were staggering at 6-28, and when new player John Viera rolled his knee, it looked like another embarrassing day for the Colts.

But Beau Anderson, 14, and Carl Clement, 13, turned that all around when they added 81. Beau was the standout smacking 65 including six fours and a six. He was hitting the ball so well a ton was in the beckoning until, with wickets tumbling, he took one too many chances.

Yagaburne were struggling at 6-76 but the steady heads of Ian Webster (54 not out) and Steve Webster (21 not out) saw them home. The reurn of Andrew Myring will aid Yagaburne’s bowling stocks over the coming weeks.
