Another big bike weekend as the sun goes down at ‘The Star’

The climb out of the “Snake Pit” up “Death Adder Hill” (that’s what it’s called on the official maps) caught many unawares. Another highlight was the Motocross Track, at the 30km fuel-stop around a 2ha dam.

Saturday night saw the action continue under lights, with a big crowd watching the barrel race demonstration and getting way too much fun out of seeing riders go down on the hard turns.

The local community put in a huge effort and with the help of the NSW Ambulance, Croppa Creek and North Star Bushfire Brigades and the Moree SES made the ride one of the biggest and most successful events ever held at the village, with all profits going to the North star P&C, the Pony Club and the Club.

Organisers Jeff Nixon and John Mills thanked all supporters. “There are just too many to name individually,” Jeff said.
