GOONDIWINDI is much like this helmet surrounded by a sea of bikes at the Hell of the West Triathlon on the weekend.

But instead of bikes, we are surrounded by a sea of water that has flooded many of our neighbours including Moree and St George who, over the past few days, have battled record floods. As Boomi resident Simon “Tangles” Walker described it to us on Friday, “It’s like another world in Gundy - blue sky and sunshine”.

The weather forecast for Goondiwindi from today until Monday is sunny with possible showers.
