DIG deep for the Goondiwindi State Emergency Service. The group that was close to disbanding three months ago has had a resurgance in interest.
The group has more than 20 members but more are always welcome according to Local Contoller Graeme De Britt. Proving how invaluable the group is members have done more than 900 man - and woman - hours of work over the past month.
Most of those were due to road accidents. SES members will be out selling raffle tickets in the lead-up to Christmas.
“There’s a great deal of equipment that we’re not funded for and the only way we can get them is through fundraising,” Fundraising President Kerrie Balcombe said.
