The end of a journey

26 Nov, 2009 10:27 AM
The Goondiwindi State High School’s Year 12 graduating art class had a special celebration last week when they invited friends and family to an exhibition at the GTT of their final assessment pieces.

Some of the Year 12 students chose to do an oral presentation of their assignments, which gave the audience a special understanding of the artist’s journey through the process of creation to the end product.

In a presentation ceremony, art teacher Lesley Hawker assured her students she’d learnt as much from them as they did from her and thanked them for the their contribution and efforts.

“Art is a journey about self and at the end of the brush is the tip of the soul.

“It has been an honour to be involved with these young people,” Mrs Hawker said.
