Here's a show you don't want to miss

AMI Williamson and Merri-May Gill are coming to Goondiwindi bringing a swag full of songs that will rock your socks, cabaret style!

Ami was described in The Australian as a “One Woman Show at it’s best - Ami Williamson sings like an angel, she plays piano, drums, dulcimer and wraps it all up in Cabaret, performing her own poignant songs and covers from Opera to AC/DC - this Folk singer show girl will impress!” Ami has been flat-out performing around Australia and overseas, including entertaining troops in the Solomon Islands, Iraq and Afghanistan alongside Angry Anderson and Tania Zaetta.

In a way, she is coming back to where it all started for her family: John Williamson began his career in Moree, and though she has followed her father into the music industry, she has definitely put her own iron in the fire.

Merri-May Gill wields an amazing set of skills on guitar and has a whip cracking sense of humour! Born in Moree, she has spent the past 11 years touring nationally and internationally.

Merri-May will be performing her new comedy cabaret show and launching accompanying new CD “Paris Moree” , which features hilarious original songs, with an overall theme of making “life in the outback” cultural. Her kooky songs are seamlessly linked by stories about recently moving back to western NSW, as well as her recent onset desire to be French.

Ami and Merri-May will each be performing separately, presenting their outstandingly entertaining songwriting and performance styles. A double bill not to be missed!

Friday, November 20 The Royal Hotel Goondiwindi 7.30pm

Tickets $20 from Stage One Fashion.
