THE Goondiwindi Eisteddfod for 2011 kicks off on Tuesday next week with rock bands and large ensembles rockin’ in the main hall at the Goondiwindi Cultural Centre.
The Primary Speech and Drama performers take to the stage in the River Room.
There are a full four and a half days of program this year which includes such delights as Musical Theatre, Piano, Junior Choral and Classical Dance. On the final morning, Saturday August 6, audiences will have the opportunity to enjoy Jazz, Modern and Tap dancing in the Main Hall while the Open Vocal and Choral charm audiences in the River Room.
The week culminates with the Selected Performers Concert on Saturday Night. The Concert includes performances from throughout the week which have been chosen by the adjudicators as exceptionally entertaining and skillful. Entry is a gold coin donation and the Concert begins at 5pm.
The Goondiwindi Eisteddfod is open to the public with light refreshments available throughout the day from the canteen. Season passes, adults $15 and family $30 will be available at the front door.
Other admission prices are: Day pass adult $5, child (over four) $2; Session only, adult $3, Pensioners/seniors $2, child $1; FOTE members free.
